Biography
From an early age in my native Sweden, I was always doodling and illustrating in the margins of my schoolbooks, trying to capture the amusing quirks and personalities of my teachers.
My parents’ home was filled with art, and I would often find myself absorbed in the paintings around me, fascinated by their brushstrokes, textures and techniques.
When I moved to London at 20, life became something of a survival game, and my passion for painting quietly slipped into the background for several years. Gradually I found my way back to the brush. Painting became a quiet form of therapy—a space to reconnect with myself and rediscover a passion that had never really left me.
Music has always been another important part of my creative world. Years of collecting vinyl and DJing have shaped the way I approach my work, influencing my sense of rhythm, composition and atmosphere. Much like putting together a DJ set, painting for me is instinctive and layered weaving together different moods, textures and unexpected elements until they find balance. The visual language surroundin music, from record sleeves and typography to the culture of clubs and record shops, has also found its way into my work.
